From October 12 - November 9, Digi Chivetta will transform the city of Fitchburg into her personal museum.

Renowned local artist Digi Chivetta, the creative force behind the mural at Fitchburg Abolitionist Park, is set to transform Main Street with her latest public art project, Fitchburg Art Walk 2024. Born from the overwhelming response to her exhibition "Dialogues, Diasporas, and Detours Through Africa" at The Fitchburg Art Museum, where only a fraction of her work could be displayed, Digi has envisioned this art walk as a way to showcase her full body of work.
This year, Digi is taking over Main Street to create a temporary, open-air museum that is large enough to house her bold and intricate artwork. The Fitchburg Art Walk 2024 is more than just an exhibition; it’s an immersive experience designed to bring tourism to the city and foster healing within the community. By bringing art directly into the heart of Fitchburg, Digi hopes to engage residents and visitors alike, celebrating the city’s rich cultural heritage while contributing to its ongoing revitalization.

Victory Dance: The Unseen Journal of a Warrior
"Victory Dance: The Unseen Journal of a Warrior" will be hosted at City Hall, with the gracious support of Mayor Sam Squalia. This gallery features previously unseen journal pages from Digi Chivetta's deeply personal artistic journey, offering an intimate glimpse into the mind of a creator dedicated to both her craft and her community.
The exhibit will include a grand installation in Digi's signature monumental style, designed specifically for the unique space of City Hall. Alongside these works, the gallery will celebrate the legacy Digi has built in her short time in Fitchburg, from her acclaimed mural at the Fitchburg Abolitionist Park to her impact on the local arts scene.
With "Victory Dance," Digi aims to illustrate how much of a difference one person can make, showing that even the smallest acts of creativity and community engagement can leave a lasting mark. Through this exhibit, she hopes to make residents feel more welcomed in City Hall, bridging the gap between civic spaces and the vibrant culture that thrives within Fitchburg.
SALEM SISTERS MAGIC TREASURES
Meriye and the Forbidden Forest
Salem Sisters Magic Treasures will host the gallery dedicated to Digi's children's book, which will be released for the Art Walk. The book is based on an Odu (similar to Bible verses) from the Yoruba Orisa tradition. The gallery will feature original illustrations from the book. There will also be copies of the book for sale.
